Hi business women & men,

at our guild, we've been thinking about having a guild-only vendor to starta exchange economy inside the guild. Having thistype of vendorwill allow us to exchange items and resources - at 1 cr. - without being our toons online at the same time.

We've talked about having a guild-only building where place this vendor.

Is this possible ? If not, is there any option ?

Thanks.

The best you can hope for at this time is to conceal the vendor somewhere in the building and set a 50k entrance fee. You'll have to list each individual member of your guild on the entry list because "guild:nnn" won't bypass the fee.

There's nothing you can do to prevent someone from paying the entry fee and purchasing things, tho.

You could just set up one or more houses where you all your guild members are all on the admin list. Of cause that would mean 0 cr trade instead.

Hi Tarnak,

this should be a good option, some maintenance but it could work, but is it possible to place a vendor in a private structure ?

Thanks.

You can't place a vendor in a private structure or make a structure private with vendors inside. If you're going to try the 50k fee thing, make sure the vendor is not registered in any way and make sure the house isn't titled something foolish like "GUILD X'S UBER SHOP: GUILD MEMBERS ONLY".

nope, I think he meant to actually just place the items in the house (and not in a vendor), so anyone on admin can pick it up. that's the only fool-proof way to give items to guildies without the possibility of someone else buying it.

And take the vendor of vendor search. If anyone finds that vendor and buys all the stock however, then you have no right to moan. A vendor is suppose to be used for business. But they should implement something so that you can use private ones just for a guild.

Like someone said earlier, the best option is to have a house where all the guild members have admin. Perhaps set backpacks in it with each member's name, for easy dropoffs and pickups.

My city uses a small naboo, as a post Office. we have trust that nobody would take something that doesn't belong to us because we believe in the old law, Do unto others as you want them to do unto you.... only problem is . admin list only allows up to 32 people i think. i had to remove citizens to add new ones...i know i can't get my whole city of 65 toons on the admin list (only main characters are on the list).. if you can't trust them, you shouldn't be guilded with them.

city-trading would probably be harder than guild-trading.

Unless a guild goes on an insane recruiting spree, without any probationary period or interviewing, they usually idle at 25-40 members. My guild is pretty strict on active players, and social people.

Having stricter screening for guild membership is a good way to make trading houses function more efficiently.

We've done the same thing in our town of Swoop Territoryfor a year now and it works great. Except we have two houses for post offices. One for regular guildies and one for officers. Of course, the top guild leaders have access to both so some trading can go on between them. This allows for more room and only slightly more hassel.

Have to admit, Empress, this is definitely something we've been asking for since launch. Guild only vendors would be a darn nice compromise since we will never get private vendors.
