I highly doubt there's any code to specifically make your vendors disappear.

HOWEVER.

There is code to remove any lot-holding items from the game once you are no longer playing to play (all harversters and houses.) I do not know the exact number of days. You may wish to ask in the general game forums.

So, vendors is a non-issues, but losing all your houses that those vendors live in (hence losing your vendors) is!

Vendors is actually more of an issue then housing now

As clickified above that is the vendor 'removal code' {and they do indeed go poof}

for housing and structures it now removes from the owners bank account when it no longer is paid up, providing they have creds in their bank account.

True. If your house can pay the rent via the bank on all your vendors, houses, and harvesters for the full 100/114 days then they'll live (until they die, of course.)

That clicky is a non-issue. As he is cancelling his account, not ignoring the vendors, the housing rules would be LONG in effect before the merchant issues came up at all.

The clicky describes what happens to the vendors. They'll all poof within 6 weeks quitting, deleting all items on them. Houses can last for many months.

the vendors must be paid and updated by hand, only structures are updated via bank.

loseing vendors from inactivatey is the concern long before the house ever becomes condemned.

your house maint and vendor inactivity are different things.

bottom line: leave them up at your own risk.

Here's the big question that is going to help us to help you - how long are you going to be away?

Once we know that, we can better advise.
