... has anyone brought the idea to the devs of treating Merchant like ID? so Crafters can master 2 profs and be master merchant as well? I can't see any real reason against it, all crafting profs would want to be masters, maybe Tailor might dabble to use special schematics, but other than that there's no advantage to dabbling that I can see...
... It sucks that I'm master weaponsmith, master tailor, 4404 Merchant and I can't dress my vendors... or is it 4403?... I can't remember, but I have no sp left which sucks.

With master weaponsmith/tailor/merchant, you should have 4 free skill points left..
What other skills do you have?

Yeah, with master merchant and two engineering track masteries, you'll have 18 points left, actually (4 if you master the surveying branch.)
With master merchant and and a hybrid of track masteries, you'll have 4 points left. Not much left to do with them...Maybe survey I and some FS survey?

The point is, if you master artisan, which several professions need anyways, and master merchant which I take full advantage of as a master tailor, you can only master one elite crafting profession. They need to change merchant like they did ID
I fully agree with that and hope they will consider it.
I am a master tailor, master artisan, master merchant and only have 47 pts left.. thats not enough to master anything, elite or novice. Dropping master artisan would give me just the 6pts points from master. Iwant survey for dropping my harvesters on good spawns and need engineering to get 4 sockets on my artisan clothing and of course need domestic arts for tailor and business for merchant. I could drop Master Merchant and the hiring line, but dropping those alone (and keeping artisan) leaves me 1 pt short of mastering another elite crafting profession. If I drop master artisan, and master merchant/hiring line I can easily master another elite crafting, but I still can't master a novice profession which saddens me..because I miss Master Entertainer which I had before the merchant changes a while back.
ahh justdreaming I guess.. even after 2 years of playing I'm stillirritated by the fact I can't do everything at once

Remember, you can also invest *1* skill point into the FS tree to get a baseline of harvesting. Of course, you want master artisan, but just throwing that out there.
