OK i read the posts about people being stuck in their homes for days becuase of merchant xp. Yet I got solid merchant xp the other day with no extra effort. So i decided to give some pointers on how this is done and I see in the forum here several major exploits to get xp even faster. However, in case your the more respectable type like me, here are some other ways to do it.

You get the hourly points if someone in near enough to cuase the vendor to spawn. WHich means in the same room. Find a guildmate (if you have one) or a friend who has a vendor that gets use. (A guild mall is the best for this) and put your vendor there. That is what I did, and obviously there was enough traffic to keep my vendor spawning becuase I got the xp on them. Of course I was sellling product, which many of you holofreaks dont, but just label the vendor "empty" or something and put him in the same room with high-traffic vendors. Maybe find a great WS and pay the maintenance on his house to put an empty vendor next to his.

If you find this to be expoitative you can take it one step further. Most of you who are trapped in your house really want to be in combat anyway, so do critter missions and get the meat and hides and stuff and sell them on your vendor if you dont want it to be empty. If you dont gather much, price it high.

They may think your dumb for selling overpriced stuff, but they cant complain that you put up an empty vendor.

This new bug never really affected my pursuit of master (reached master merchant the day before thanksgiving), but that was only because I have a viable business with customers visiting and loading my shop regularly Now I have a nice lil business going that helps pay the way through the rest of the holocron professions (they really need to fix it so that when you drop the merchant skills you loose your vendors, or at least get a week to take off your inventory before it goes poof).
