Thread: New Droid Structure Maintenance Module misses the mark?
But,
- The maintenance rate for vendors is much lower than harvesters.
- Unlike harvesters, we can withdraw maintenance from vendors, so there's no reason lot to keep plenty of maintenance in them.
Which gets me to wondering just how useful these things are anyway. I've never seen a harvester with a hopper that won't fill up within 8-10 days on any good concentration, so you've got to visit them anyway once a week, right? And a week's maintenance on a large harvie is only 10K. Load 'em up and forget about them for a week. What is it these droids are doing for me?

I don't run harvestors at all, but I do have several Merchant tents with a merchant in each, and a few factories, plus admin rights on a few more structures. All are used by my smuggler alt, and there is often 40 crates+ of each spice on my vendors for extended periods. As it stands now, I rotate stock and controll prices from a central location, and barely ever visit the vendors, housing enourmous stocks on each.
When restocking the vendor (offeringcrates at 1 cr each), my smuggler can pay maintenance to the structure as an administrator, but cannot pay into the vendor. Currently the only reason I have to visit my vendors with my merchantis to check and pay their maintenance! I try to place these vendors in areas that are both hard to reach and popularin an effort to be a unique resource, but it makes it difficult and dangerous for my non-combat merchant to visit. I was hoping to controll all aspects of my business, inventory/pricing and maintenance, from a central location.
