There seems to be plenty of room in the the vendor "Item Name" description line to contain the resource class as well as the element name and type. Steel, Duralloy (Acaw) or Copper, Polysteel (Ipat) would help viewers immensely.

Get rid of the stupid "premium" column.

Agree, and when you rearrange the column widths they should stay that way for the next time you log on.

Actually, I would like the resource class put into a seperate field so you could sort by it as well.

This would work - but adding all the subcategories at least to the main categories like steel under minerals, or Wheat or Meat under Organics - like in the surveying tools would even be better - lot fewer returns on the sort. Given I don't think we will EVER see multipages truly sorting by alpha over all applicable pages - the fewer returns the better.

Going one step further to absolute categories would be even better, but just the main subs would be most helpful. i.e., steel - Duranium Steel. Organics - Meat - Avian Meat.

And NOTHING should ever JUST show under a main category like for instance - the new shellfish harvestors only showing up under the main category of tool.

Ouch! I am glad I never tried to look for one. I wonder, now, what else does the same thing.

The catagories today are a complete mess IMHO. Lots of empty ones, crates separated from their contents, reactive gas under energy though it can't be used that way, but inert in a gas catagory by itself, oddly catagorized items, too many subcatagories of misc.

The other thing that is badly needed is some filtering/searching ability across catagories. If I want a set of Mambari armour, I have to separately and manually search many pages. A "where name contains" feature would be great, but even better would be to be able to search all organics for OQ>900 & PE>900, or items wearable by a female wookie in the leg slot. The Everquest (also SOE) bazaar has a great interface for finding what you want, though their items are simpler and more fixed. I suspect different interfaces would work best for different catagories of goods.

Of course a good bazaar interface would be a nerf to Merchants. A lot of the value we add today is making it possible for our customers to find what they want. And my newbie alts wouldn't be able to fund their weapons and vehicles by buying crates and breaking them up for 500% profit margins.

I'd think it would be a boon to merchants. Think of how many people would have purchased something from your vendor if they could have just found it.

Is there a filter search for a vendor by class or type, say "aluminum" or "steel" or "fiberplast" or "inert gas"?
