Hello Merchants,

Just read Draznar's Guide, which was extremely useful (outstanding job Draznar). I do have some questions though...

1. I noticed that there is a surveying macro. Is there anyway someone could explain how this works (I'm currently 4-4-4-2 in Artisan and could use the help)? I'm a newbie to the macro aspect of this game and would like to try this out.

2. If I have admin rights to a house, but I do not own that house (and can't claim it as my residence), can I still place a vendor there? A bunch of friends plan on getting a PA Hall and using it as a merchant shop, and we're hoping that we can all place our vendors there.

3. Being a newbie to the crafting aspect of the game (I usually play a TKA), I plan on Mastering Weaponsmith and Artisan, and getting Advertising III in the Merchant line. Is there anything else I need to make my business a success? Do I even need to Master Artisan at all (don't plan on making vehicles), and if I don't, should I use the points I would've used on Domestic Arts (Artisan) on another Merchant tree?

Thanks in advance for any help.

1. Search the "Artisan" forums for "Survey Macros" there are tons of them and detail explanations about macros

2. yes

3. All depends on what you are planning on selling. If you dont want to craft and sell the artisan items, I'd drop all non essential skill trees in favor of something you could use. On a broader scale, what you need most to be a success is a good network of friends/customers. If you are in a good PA and find an unmet need, you will do fine.

1) That's really a question for the Artisan forum, I've seen many macros posted there.

2) Yes, as long as you are on admin, you can place a vendor that you, and only you, control (and get the xp for). After the vendor is placed, you can be taken off the admin list without affecting your ability to use your vendor.

3) Many of the schematics under MA are used by Weaponsmiths, so I would recommend MA is you're going to be a WS. I beleive thatDomestic Arts will give you bonus crafting points to any schematic uner the Artisan tree, but not under and of the Elite crafting trees, so you have to balance the pros/cons to decide the value of those 14 skill points.
