Yes there is no way to rename them once they are created.

We can ask. I don't know about the name but I do know that the position of the vendor is extremely important. It must remain constant which is why they disable the movement commands. Something about the way the vendors and bazaar terminals are linked to the database makes it imperative that they not be moved at all.
I'd really like the name change part then i could have my name and a special with the date as part of my name which would make the planetary advertising really helpfull for those looking for things.

This is an Image Designer wish list item as well. Maybe working together with them we can get it impelmented.
I predict trouble with them IDing the non-playre species, but those can just have less options (height and color) for the DI to change, and I think we all will still be happy.

I'll try to find out about the name. I don't hold out much hope for it though.
