Thread: No hourly vendor XP
Ive nearly mastered erchant so its a bit late to do anything now but i have come to the conclusion im not receiving ay hourly xp.
i have narrowed it down to 2 things....
because my vendors have no maintenance and its down in the negative
because of a bug
anyway anyone else getting this problem?
You do not accrue overtime xp from a non functioning vendor.

I am. I'm 4/3/3/4 merchant - All my vendors have over 2k in the maint pool, house is fine, too. I read somewhere you don't get exp if your vendors are not rendering in the world (if nobody is around to see them, they don't "exsist" is the theory here). I think its true, too. I've left my character in the house with a macro to sit/stand every 5 minutes or so to keep me from getting the boot, and I get experience again. but when i'm off wandering the galaxy for a while, the exp seems to be little to null.
Has there been any offical word on this? It seems to be new, because when I first started I don't recall having this problem.

This was fixed but you still have to get them to load to get the xp. The difference is that you should get all the back xp as soon as they load the next time.
Hey... The xp i get from my four vendors in very sparatic. Sometimes when I get online, I have not received my xp. Then an hour later I will suddenly receive 8k or so xp for the time i was offline. All my vendors are full of maintanence and running properly so I should get it the second i pop online. Sometimes I have to go and click on my vendors to unlock the xp. This is very annoying because I do not spend a lot of time at the house.
I have seen many merchant guides for gaining xp in the shortest amount of time and I have followed them 100%. I will not even come close to the timeframe that they say you can get to master Merchant. I am not complaining that it is taking to long because really it's not. It just sucks that I will not get Master Merchant as fast as some people have got it AND i'm following THEIR guide.
Oh well... This games is still very fun to me!!!!!!

The xp updates when the vendor is loaded into the world. If you create vendors in a room and nobody ever goes in it, you won't get the xp until someone does.
Example. You sit in the room with the vendor loaded, or someone else does for that matter. Each hour you will get 150xp per vendor. If you go away for a day and nobody else makes the vendor load, 24 hrs later when you come back, the vendor will load into the world and you will get 12x150xp per vendor.
monday @ 4:30pm: 3444 merchant (with 250 xp) (needed the full 40,000xp for master)
monday @ 7:30pm: 3444 merchant (with 18,000xp) (big
almost there in three hours!)
tuesday @ midnight: still 3444 merchant (with 38,000xp) (
stall, but should be there after work)
