I have three vendors placed in my house. It is my understanding that each vendor should net me 150xp/hour even if no one visits the house. That equates to 10800 experience points per day. In the last 24 hours I've only received 5600 experience. I have reloaded the merchants, used the merchants, viewed the merchants, and I am not collecting any "back" or owed experience. I hope the developers are investigationg this.

I noticed that a few times too but i got the xp eventually. Sometimes after a few hours or sometimes after a day, but I've always got it eventually. Yesterday I logged on and had the same 5k xp i had a few days before so ilogged off to play my other character for a while came back on and had over 50k xp.

Hi:

I don't think you'll ever get the experience you want. The professions is seriously borked.

The vendor xp over time only is granted for when the vendor is drawn on the world map, ie. when someone has entered your house. Your vendor will remain drawn for a little while but, like your house, soon be removed from the active world.

I tested this by placeing my house with 1 vendor in a remote location on Rori. I stayed in my house for 2 hours and got 300xp. logged out for the night. Logged back in and had 450xp. I exited my house and stayed right outside of my house for 2 hours, 300xp more. Logged out outside of my house. logged back in the next day and had 900xp. I never entered my house this day but I stayed right outside my house for 2 hours, no xp earned. Logged out/logged in the next day and still only 900xp. I entered my house and used my vendor received no xp. But 1 hour later i got another 150xp.

Hope this helps

I've tried this same process and it has not worked for me. I even have two accounts and two computers. I kept one character logged in for 24 hours, thus the vendors were "drawn" into the universe the whole time. I did not get the xp i should have.

The character was logged in for 24 hours but was he next to the vendor in the house? If he was then my example may have just been luck. But that was the way i have had it work.

What I do after I login is to visit each of my vendor locations and use the vendor. Just selecting use and leave the window up for about a minute. The xp usually shows up by then. I do that to each building not each vendor.

Maybe I'm lucky.

Yes, the character was standing beside the vendor the whole time except for when the server went down

You have to access the vendors for the exp to flow to you. The exp will pool while they are out of the world and you will get it in big lumps when you or someone else accesses the vendors. A pain, but I don't think anything is ever lost. At least I have never lost any so far. I am currently at 3-3-2-4. Been about two weeks so far, very slow going.

I have accessed them to no avail. I should be at over 10000xp/day alone for the three vendors i have placed. all with good money pools. I anot getting nada zilch. only xp i come is from people paying entrance fees to my house

(i guess) like most people here i'm only doing merchant cos i was told to. I know it's random and i'm not moaning because the road to jedi is not meant to be easybut i did sort of like tothink holocrons were to guide you towards becoming a jedi at the same time as showing you various aspects of the game you might not have seen if you had just stuck to your original design. So after the torture of being stuck in the canteen for dancer then musician for my first two holos, i thought it couldnt get any worse... but merchant is such a negative thing it's appauling.

I did calculate that when i reached 0004 (i'm currently 0002-almost-3)it would be a maximum of2 weeks (13.8 days) to get to master - that is assuming that nobody entered the house and i just got 150exp/hour/vendor for having vendors up. But two weeks ofdoing what? Nothing! So for the last week i have been logging in and checking once a day or so andtraining /maintaining vendors. And for the rest of the time? Well what can i do in the meantime? There's just nothing to work towards. No effort i make will get me to master quicker. (It makes the 10 houses +10 friends trick sound so appealing )

So I waslooking at this as 2 weeks off SWG. I gotfinal fantasy XI for christmas but was waiting till i had enough of swg before starting that. Butnow i've startedFFXIto keep me occupied in the meantime- i'm now wondering how i'll feel about SWG by then

Now i read this thread about exp not working properly - it almost seems like they want me to play something else

Way to go SOE.

I receive experience after a couple of minutes of standing in the house. I do not access my vendor. Just standing there does it.

Jedi will be rare and difficult - No
Increased Dev communication - No
CU will balance combat - No
Most of the bugs from launch fixed - No
saintchuck will continue to pay - No

- I supported the CURB, the Devs and the attempt to make SWG a better game and have realized it didn't work so I'm quitting in less than 2 days and won't be tricked into coming back again. Trick me once, shame on you...
