Thread: Just a question from a non-merchant
To be a merchant is tough, i do know that, but wouldn't it be the best way to start out in the profession by getting suppliers, people who are rangers and miners to supply materials in large quantities, not 1k or less on the bazaar, and then start getting crafters to buy from you. a percentage off the top that is. with that established, you could get schematics or crafters to sell you crates of items and then tell others what you stock and where to buy. Telling them also you would take in old equipment for certain price for x quality so for and resale. it would be easier on the crafters and cheaper on the buyiers if there is a go to guy (middle man) who could buy in bulk most requested specialities and order in bulk the items from crafters.
so here is my question, so all that become merchants ever look at the profession as a middle man profession and worked it that way?
just curious, i don't do it becuase i am not good at business and i am to lazy to take such a task on. it seems to many pick it up and use it for only a few things. i so much rather be a supplier of items to a merchant and make money that way then having to constantly take care of my factorys, vendors, stocks, and supplies. One stop shopping is the way to go. I want the star wars Wal-Mart.
