Merchant Archive

Ok, I say this as a former Master Merchant (and that was before all the cool fixes that made your lives a whole lot easier, I was a master when nothing in the freakin' skill tree worked)

If you are going to have a vendor On the Planetary Map, then please, I beg of you KEEP YOUR VENDOR STOCKED!!! There is absolutely nothing more annoying for a player than to have to waste my time looking for a vendor and drive or walk all the way out to them because they are on the map to come into an empty vendor! I was looking for an armor vendor today, and this is the impetus of the email and rant, I was on Valcyn. I was around Coronet, there were 4 armor vendors around the same area. So I drove the 1500m out to them. Out of the 4 vendors that were on the planetary map (and mind you, I believe there were only 5 armor vendors on the whole of Corellia), out of those 4 vendors, ONE and i repeat ONE vendor had anything at all in it. The others were completely empty, and the one that had stuff didnt' even have armor in it but was listed as an armor vendor!

Please be curteous to your fellow players and if you are going to have a vendor on the planetary map, keep it stocked! If you are not going to keep it stocked or are having trouble keeping it stocked, take it off the map out of courtesy please. There are already so many time sinks in this game, between shuttle waits, cantina heals, and no doctors in the med centers, we dont' need another one that involves driving for 5000m to 4 empty vendors. I'm sorry if this rant comes across the wrong way, but I only say this because I was a Merchant, and I hold a merchant who advertises to a very high standard. Unfortunatley there don't seem to be many with a high standard out there. Thanks for your time all and have a great day.

<@$$hole response> Hey, I see nothing wrong with letting my vendor go empty. It lets people know that I'm a really busy merchant, and that they just weren't fast enough getting out there. And besides, if I set an empty vendor to "Weapons" and call it "Super Cheap Uber 733L Weapons" I can get a lot of Merchant XP. </@$$hole response>
