Thread: Hate to say it, but this board...
Yes, I'm wanting a more productive board so I'mpointing out thattheboard isan unproductive mess of repost, and I'm wondering if this can be changed... I don't know why you see this as a bad thing.. perhaps you like visitng this borad to answer the same questions over and over again.
On the architect board they ask people not post "my suggestions" as they clog up the board.
And you can't deny that it's not productivewhen the same questions are being asked over and over again... perhaps more threads need to be stickied, or perhaps the people that always post here can't be bothered to read the FAQ/Merchant Guide
.
I just think something's wrong with the board when the same things are brought up time after time after time

Is probably one of the most unproductive profession boards.
Let me sum up about 75% of the threads I always seehere
-How do I make a sign in colors and on different lines?
-WillI loose my vendors if I drop merchant?
-Rants about poeple dropping Merchant and keeping vendors, and rants about why people should keep vendors and drop merchant
-People asking when the above issue will be fixed
-MASSES UPON MASSES OF "my idea", "my suggestions" etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc
Please nice merchant correspondant person.. is there anyway you can stop this board getting clogged up with the same oldrepetative posts?
I just don't respond to those posts and if everyone else did the same they wouldn't be on the first page. There is no way to prevent people from making those posts. The only way to avoid sliding into negativity is just to refuse to participate in them. It is difficult. I know this. I have to stop myself from responding to things all the time because the post is just wayyyy off but answering it isn't going to change anything.
I would love to see some more positive discussions going on here. Once upon a time we had discussions about various methods for advertising and a thread about great store decorations. I would love to see more things like that.
Draznar's FAQ probably needs to be revamped and rewritten and I'm not sure he's going to be back. I need to start that project. I need to work on a State of the Profession post as well .
