Thread: Idea: couple new buildings

Well I just had one of those silly ideas of mine as something to expand the merchant buisness.

Two newbuildings that would be placeable at master merchant.

The first, and simpelist, would be a warehouse building. I'm sure of us have had the problem of storing components, resources, ect. I don't really like piling it all onto a vendor, it gets really anoying to me having to restock everything I've stored on it every month, buildings are the way to go for me, so how about a 1 lot building, the size of a small generic house, same dimensions, but just one big empty room, and holds 100 items. Have a couple of these and you got yourself some nice storage space.

My second idea is a bit complicated, but I'm really tired of the PA halls turned into a cram full of vendors all in the main hall. What we need is an actual mall building type. I think for a layout, you have a long hallway down the middle, with rooms running along the sides for shops. Each shop being about the size of a tent. Now if it would be possible, what would be really great is if you could create a system where each indicidual store has it's own admin listings. So that when you rent out places, you give someone access to just their room. And if each room gets a sign out in front like other buildings, you could have a very cool shopping experience, walking around a mall of vendors.

There's my two cents worth of ideas, I'm sure the odds of anyone listening are slim to none, and slim just left, but hey, might as well give it a wirl in case someone listens.

You may be tired of it, but it works good for sales and the shoppers are happy.

I would hate to have to go to each room looking for what I want to buy. I would just give up.

second, in a large open space you can get people shopping for one thing and then they see your vendor and take a look since it is handy. It is called incidental shopping and it works for wal-mart quite well.

I would like to see a large round room with small open rooms off of it so someone could stand in the middle and see all the vendors in the mall. Kind of like a RL mall food court.

I love malls set up like that. It is shopper friendly.

Your multiple room idea sounds like a pain for shoppers even if it is nice for the merchants.

Just my opinion.

Feel free to prove me wrong on this.
