Instead of stupid nerfs to this stupid profession that is just a point sink for crafting classes, why not make it a real class?
First, give merchants the ability to hire out vendors. I should be able to go to a master merchant and hire out a vendor or two for a fee. The merchant would then get part of the maintance fee which I would pay, and possibly a small cut of my sales.
Second, give merchants the ability to set up malls where individuals can go and put their wares up for sale at much higher prices than the bazaar, once again for a fee and a cut of the sale (set by the merchant). These malls would be great for people who don't commonly sell stuff, but want to charge more than 6k.
Make merchant a real class or get rid of it. I am tired of the skill point sink just to sell my creations.
