Thread: Suggestions to fix Merchant
Not that I believe anyone will look at this, but here goes. I was recently told by a CSR that if I thought something needs changes in the vendor system that I should post it on the website. Here goes.
Vendors:
·Should hold a maximum amount of items based on a person’s actually skill. This would remove the issues where people get a vendor and then drop the skills required to operate one. (only Items for sale and items in the stockroom should count) Note that the total number of items should be allowed to be on one vendor or mixed between them. At Master the limit should be around 5-7k. It might sound too high, but there are some pretty serious people out there who feel it is important to be well stocked.
·Should be able to indefinably house said items.
·Should be able to set a price for a group of items in the stockroom at one time. No more of this having to click sell over and over and over.
·Should be able to offer a discount rate (for running specials) on either specific items or the entire vendor. This should be a percentage or current (pre-tax) price or a set amount off not to drop the item’s cost below 1 cred. This should be done using a simple update screen rather than having to withdraw the sale and repost it.
·I pay the salaries of vendors so I don’t have to manage them every day. We should be allowed to have the ability to set the number of times an item is restocked at the current price automatically. In the absence of this we should be able to one-click all items back to the for-sale tab with the last used price.
Merchant
·Master Merchants should get additional storage in homes etc. (I only add this because being Master should have some nice perk)
·Be able to host a vendor for someone. Taking a certain percentage of the price off the top and the rest going to the real owner automatically. Basically they hire us to run a business for them, only they get to add/remove the items.
Anyone else have something they want to see changed but are sure it won’t?
