It makesthe task of counting votes and then doing statistics much harder for me, (such as: community status % etc..) when people use the poll thread for discussion . Therefore I am making this thread, with stats present, and everyone is invited to please post their commentary here. I appriciate your time and voicing opinions here rather then the poll thread (which is just for voting please).
To answer a few questions that have been raised.
Q: Why arnt you counting new forum Toons?
A: I am counting new forum toon votes seperate. Those are toons that have just been created (Had 1 that was created and shortly their after its 1st post was to vote on the poll) We have also had newer toons with less then 10 votes vote right after or before elder, leader and veteran toons with the same vote with identical messages. I find these votes to be suspect and as a result I am keeping them out of the MAIN vote tally. I am not ignoring these votes, rather you will see them listed before each statistic and how those votes were cast.
Q: Why should we not have 1 vote for each of our accounts?
A :We have already had at least 1 instance where a player tried to create and use multiple toons to skew the results of the poll to one side. I have no way of confirming the actual number of accounts a player might have and as a result I feel it is best for this purpose to ask everyone to only vote once, regardless of accounts. It is my opinoin, that more accounts does not entital players to any more saythen single account players.
Remeber, the more suspect votes that are acknowledge, the less credability the poll will have in the eyes of who we are trying to reach....the dev's. We are all passionate about this, but I implore you to not let your passions lead you in the actual poll.
And now on to the results thus far,
Thank you, I and remember I am just trying to provide a service to my community.
Yours,
Varnax

Thus far I think it is interesting that the % Difference in total votes from 50 votes to 102 votes is only +/-2%.
I havnt updated the stats yet from the 102 counts, right now were at 118 votes,...Ill do another stat update when we reach 150.
I am curious if the +/- 2% will still be seen with higher numbers.
Also I think it is interesting that the majority of votes from all areas (except leader) are clearly in the item 300-500 range. I think this shows a great deal of compromise from the community thus far.

I think 300-500 is reasonable, but the devs are never going to go for it. I would be shocked if the devs came back with a cap over 220. They would probably say that doubling it is as far as they can go. I am really afraid they are gonig to come back with limits bumped up by 25 to 50 items.
To me the cap is killing a stand alone merchant. For a merchant to make money they have to have tons of goods, and a lot of variety. For a crafter we can learn to deal with this.

The result of this poll is very predicatable.
About 50% want no limit or limit that will never affect them whatever happen.
45% are ok for a limit as long as it doesn't affect them alot.
5% are troll, or want a noticable effect on the economy.
Make sence.
I do hope that dev will go for a 100 to 300 limit, but I also have some doubt about it.
As the previous poster said, Double the original numbers is as high as they will go.
Well, that's what I think.
Because as I understood, they want a noticable effect on the economy, but I hope will have to increase their numbers to avoid a nightmare, economy panic and some cancelations.

I updated the main post, please feel free to discuss any opinions or thoughts on the results thus far. Or for that matter, any input you might have on the subject of vendor limits.

I can handle a reasonable limit. What I cant handle is not having enough tailor room.
