I am a master merchant currently using vendors for myself but I have always visioned merchants providing vendors for a crafter who doesnt want to use skill points for such. I have been reading the boards not for very long mind you but with the upcoming changes i was getting excited so i came back to checkup. I mean a crafter needs a vendor right he finds a merchant the merchant comes into his home or bussiness drops a vendor down puts customer on admin list sets a fee or percentage of sales and the customer can change his prices put new stuff take stuff off what ever he wants total freedom for him and no hassle for us why cant this be done i mean the bazaar operates exactly like this it seems to be a win win situation.
please no flames i may be ignorant of the situation and may have been discussed a hundred times already just say so, pleasedont flame me

Retailers set up their own shops, generally not in the warehouse of the manufacturer. This is not a flame, but an analogy. I think it would be great if merchants set up shops and found crafters to sell them items to resell. Then crafters could concentrate on crafting, not filling a vendor, and merchants could concentrate on building a business. If somebody wants to be both, then be both. They are not one and the same.

I know there not one of the same let crafters be crafters let us be able to provide a service by providing them with
the extra vendors they need i mean if it was more like the bazaar set up you would not have to worry about emails
and record keeping its a set rate or percentage of sales that is our fee. I mean really if you have bussiness 3 you can be a merchant and buy and resale goods but with this change there are people with over 900 items on there vendor that are established bussineses that will need merchants to provide vendors now. Why not go with this idea.
I know what your saying about retailers and the manufacturer but people want to control there product if they had that with our vendors they would seek out more merchants.

Buy the items outright wholesale. Don't bother with consignment percentages. Yuck. What a hassle. Buy the crate of jawas or buff packs or whatever from the crafter, then take them out of the crates and sell them on your vendor at the price you want.

Agreed. But it's just not possible within the game to be a 'middleman' merchant with the tools given.
