Thread: Probably been mentioned before... but craftable containers?

One of the things asked quite a lot due to the merchant changes is whether backpacks will be considered as one item regardless of contents or not. I'm just wondering is it possible to see craftable crates added at some point. It would be great to be able package sets of items or bulk quantity not already crated within crates. Good examples would be a crates of armour sets, uniform sets, "harvester farms" etc... We can already do this with unlocked containers, backpacks, satchels and cargo pockets. It would be great and even starwarsy (images of Han Solo packing up his reward) to offer items in this way, it would be another step to streamlining the vendor interface.

The only container on your list that's craftable is backpacks.

Last I checked - unlocked containers can no longer be used as containers, and haven't been for a long time.

Satchels and cargo pockets are only containers if they are looted.

Satchels aren't craftable at all - and tailormade cargo pockets are only components for other things, they do not function as containers.

You mean on a vendor?

Because in my house I have plenty of unlocked containers with my stuff in them.

Sorry I didn't mean the ability to craft THOSE sorts of containers, I meant the ability to create containers such as crates and boxes. Backpacks etc... are already used (including unlocked containers, yes you can use them I know I do) but they all seam, with the exception of unlocked containers, to be more of a workaround. Currently the "professionalism" doesnt seam to be there.

Maybe they changed it back - I had some i my house too - with stuff in them, but if I tried to take something out and put it back in - it said invalid container.

Sound more like a bug, maybe your house is full.

I've used unlocked container for months and never had a problem.
