Sorry if this has already been asked... Can't seem to find a way to run a search on the forums. Anyway, I've noticed that my vendor has a stockroom, and seen the stockroom referenced in a couple of threads, but don't know what it's (intended) purpose is? It seems that you can store items there, but will they sell? Do they count towards your vendor maintenance costs? Thanks in advance

Captian,

The "Stockroom" is the area where your item shows up when you "Withdraw Sale", from there you can either decide to sell it again or retrieve it.

I see... can it be used as kind of a storage area of sorts? Does it count against the dropped item count of your house?

The purpose of the stockroom is to accumulate a host of items that you cannot retrieve

Well, ok, I suppose the planned function was the one mentioned by others.

So there I was, with my first Vendor and I saw 'stockroom" and I thought to myself: "Self! That's awesome!!! I can put one bone-armor-gloveitem in the for-sale area and when it sells, another would be automatically pulled from the stockroom to replenish the inventory, thus not cluttering up the screen with 800 gloves."

After the first 2 days of quickbars erasing when you logged, I should have known this was not the case.

Yup. Stockrooms are where you can find that "one sock" that went missing a while back. But you can only see it...you can't actually wear it.

I've resorted to standing in the middle of Coronet City hawking my wares like a Ren Faire Chainmail merchant... only without the scantily clad lasses to help me out.

In my experience, yes to both.

In order to store items in the "Storeroom" you first need to offer it up for sale, then withdraw the sale. A very clunky system indead.

All items in your Vendor seem to count against the item cap of your house. My vendor now has so many item in it I can not have any furniture. This sux.
