How do I put a vendor station in my house?? Do I need to buy a droid or what? I have business II skill but I don't have a clue as to how to place a vendor anywhere. Can I put a vendor on the outside of my house. Any advice on setting up a Vendor would be appreciated.

First you need to get to buisness 3 before you can place a vendor.

When you get there, go to your house or a house you have admin rights to and access the house control board(Usually near the front door)

Right click on it and it should have a option in there for creating or placing a vendor(Cent remember exactly what it said when i did mine)

At buisness 3 the only vendor you can make is a big bulky box thingy.

**IMPORTANT** make sure you place it where you want it when you hit drop because unlike furniture and other things YOU CAN NOT MOVE the vendor after you hit drop,IF you dont like where it ended up you can right click on it and hit destroy then go back to the control panel and make another one.

You can not place one outside as far as I know.

Hope this helps you out,and if I got anything wrong someone feel free to correct me.

Yep, that's right. Some other things I can think of that you might want to know, is once you've placed it you have to 'Initialize' the vendor, which means it can be used, but also that it can no longer be picked up, and the only way to move it is to delete it and make a new one. ALSO, don't make the same mistake as many merchants have, and that is to delete the vendor to make a new one without removing the items inside it first. If you don't, all the items inside the machine will be lost... as shouldbe expected.

Another quick question relating to the above: If you go on to get Business 4, do you get the option to place a second "box-type" vendor in the same house alongside your first?

Thanks in advance

Skarra,

To answer your question, noyou cannot place a second vendor alongside your first. You may only have one vendor per house. Of course you may have as many vendors as you want, but they must be in seperate houses.

I have three vendors in my house so you can certainly put them in the same building. I didn't place next to each other since I had three rooms.

Thanks for the clarification Jayfoot. I wasn't aware you could place more than one vendor, since someone had told me before you were limited to only one. That opens up more possibilities for me, thanks

That IS good news. I may stick a secone one in my "workroom" where my crafting stations are and just sell crafting stations on it. plus, more xp for more vendors.

Curious.. has there been any word on when we'll be able to place vendors in other people's homes? My wife wanted me to put a vendor in her house yesterday to put some advertising items on for her Image Design business. I was able to creat the vendor in my inventory, but when I tried to drop it, it said I didn't have permission to access the container, I believe.

And yes... I'm on the admin list for her house.

You have to give it to her to place... it will still be your vendor, she just has to do it. Be careful though because recently people have been having problems with the vendor getting 'stuck' in their inventory. I haven't had the problem myself, but there are a few threads on the subject.
