Thread: How Planetary Map listing works vs. how it should work

Currently the Planetary Map listing of Advertising III is not all it could be. It is, in fact, somewhat limiting.
Here's how it works:
1. You get a new menu option for the vendor, register.
2. You select which category of goods you are registering under.
3. The vendor's name is placed on the planetary map under the category of goods you selected.
(Note: There's a bug that causes you to have to unregister then reregister every time the server starts up.)
Now on first glance that seems like a good system. It's nice and simple. But here's where it goes wrong.
Let's say I want to list my droids on the map. My droid vendor, a Twi'lek female named Breetha, sells the droids for me. So I register her on the map. Then I look at the map and there I find, under droid vendors, Breetha. Hmmm, not quite the effect I wanted.
My options then are to live with that, or pull all of my merchandise off of Breetha, remove her, then create a new vendor with the name of my store as its name. I certainly breaks the mood to see a vendor named "Droid Shop of Naboo" but it gets the name on the vendor.
Now here's how this function should work:

2. Select "register" from your vendor's menu.
3. Register the vendor.
4. Look on the planetary map and see the name of the building that the vendor is in.
See the difference? Then your vendor could be named anything, and your store name would be what appears on the planetary map.

Actually since I plan to have multiple vendors and may host vendors for others. I think you should get to put in the name you want to register, though buiding name would be workable.
