I've heard many thoughts and rumours and maybes and I thinks...does anyone know PRECISELY how merchant xp works? I know it was bugged for a while, but they fixed it...so, what's the deal?

I think it is something that is dolled out a little at a time for selling things. Much in the same way as stat migration, it is not a immediate result skill. I have sold large quantaties of material and have no real gain, but after some time I get a wave of points. One time I packed up my vendor and moved my house. I set the vendor up two days later and saw I had been getting points the whole time it was not even up.

I'm pretty sure its 50XP for people entering your house if you have an access fee set and 50XP for people looking at your vendor.

I've noticed that when people buy multiple things in a row I don't get XP during each sale. It only appears to happen in one shot. And since I also get XP when I haven't sold anything that seems to be one more hint that XP isn't based on sales.

As far as the access fee I have a 1cr fee to get into my shop. People pay it too. If anything it intrigues people more as to what I might be hiding in my shop.
