Merchant Archive

I'm a Tailor who's getting out of the Merchant business tonight, in about 24 hours probably. Right now I've got about 300+ items on 5 vendors in one shop. I do not want to manually delist, download, and delete 300+ items, that's the kind of obnoxious time-sink that made me want to get out of Merchanting in the first place.

I know from previous bug reports that if I just delete the vendors, the items will sit in limbo, unretrievable. Which is fine. A week after they were listed, they should go to the limbo Stockroom, right?

Will they then disappear on their own in a couple of days or weeks? Or will I have to file a CSR ticket to get them to not show up on Available Items at the Bazaar?

They will go away on their own. It seems, to me anyway, to take a bit longer than a week ... mayber closer to 10 days to two weeks. But they will poof on their own.

On a side note, many people don't realize that stuff stored in the Storeroom will also poof after a week or two.

Hey, guess what? SOE has abolished Limbo!

I deleted my vendors, on schedule. When I did, it popped up a warning that everything on them would be deleted if I continued. And - to my vast surprise - that is exactly what it did! No 300+ items floating in limbo, waiting to time out! They actually all went away, just like they were supposed to!
