Thread: Thinking of rerolling
This may be a little off topic, but as a merchant and beceuse I respect you guys...
I have Master Artisan and I am close to Master merchant, but find that I want to spend more time outside my house. I am already near maxing out my skill points. I am thinking about dropping my character and starting a wookie. I hate armor and would like the bonus 900 to stat and the CH bonus. I can keep all my stuff by having a friend hold it, but I will have to rebuild. I know enough now to do it in a fraction of the time (except Merchant). I guess I want your guys opinions and to know your thoughts on the worth of armor. Yes I know I could ask thefighters, but I would rather ask those that are a mix more like me.
I now have two characters on Chilastra. One is strictly artisan/merchant and the other is ranger/pistoleer. I found that I was adding too many combat skills to my artisanbut I still enjoyed making things and didnt want to give that up. So speaking from lots of combat experience I will say that armor definately has it's pluses and drawbacks. The key is using it properly. My ranger wears composite armor in battle that saves his life at times because he just needs that extra bit of protection to pull him through. But as soon as battle is over the armor comes right off so I get the full benefit of my secondary stats. Making a macro that automatically changes you from your armor to your regular clothing and vice versa is a major major benefit as you really do get the best of both worlds. Sometimes I play with armor sometimes without, but there are definately times when I need it and wouldnt have made it through a skermish without.
Whatever you decide to do, good luck!
