I posted this on the main boards, but the forum monster eats them fast. Thought I might ask here to see if anyone has a definitive answer

I don't know if I'm just not doing this right, (entirely possible) and if so, I would like to ask for some help from you guys. Or, if this is a bug, I think it's a biggy to bring to the devs' attention.

As an architect I do a lot of business on the bazaar, both buying and selling goods, resources, what have you. Recently, I opened up my humble little shop. I set up a vendor droid in my shop. (Ugly Felix... he he.)

Now, when I or anyone else comes into my shop, the droid defaults to "This Region" for what sales to view. I'm not sure what "Region" is supposed to mean, but I was under the impression that it was the entire area around a given starting city. In my case, I'm a couple Kilometers outside Dearic, so I figured it would show up in the Dearic auctions as a local sale. Wrong.

On my vendor, you only see the items I put on that vendor. If you go to dearic and look at the default "Region" offerings, my sales don't seem to be showing up. Then, if you go to "This Planet" I'm pretty sure you can finally see them. However, most people I ask never switch out of the default regional view unless they are looking for something very, very rare and are willing to travel to other planets to buy it.

Basically, the view choices on my vendor are:
1. This vendor (droid)
2. This region
3. This planet
4. Entire Galaxy

If these are the choices, then shouldn't the local player vendors show up in the auction for the region they are in on all bazaar terminals? Or is it just me and maybe I'm bugged?

First, as far as I'm aware NO playervendor auctions/listings are showing up on the Bazaar. I believe this is as planned and is not considered a bug (this WAS in Beta, but was removed for some Bazaar (pun intended) reason )

Second, from what I can tell, the 4 options are as follows :-

1. This vendor (droid)

Shows all auctions listed on that particular vendor

2. This region

Shows all auctions listed in the particular merchants vendors in this region (for me I can see all my auctions accross both of my vendors located in the same house

3. This planet

Shows all auctions listed in the particular merchants vendors on this planet

4. Entire Galaxy

Shows all auctions listed in the particular merchants vendors throughout the galaxy.

I believe these screens are only supposed to show THAT VENDORS sales - Why would the merchant want to advertise potential competitors auctions on his own vendor ???

Why oh Why it defaults to region I do not know, as This vendor would be the logical choice for me ?

That's an excellent point. I can see certain situations where I'd want *only* my stuff to be displayed and not have it show up anyplace else. (Example, if I'm putting up some deep discount items only for the use of my player city neighbors and/or PA Mates) and other times when I'd like my items listed everyplace, including the bazaar, to save me a run to the city. I do dearly wish we could have that as an option on the vendor.

The Region/Planet/Galaxy options don't exist for buyers at the vendors. That is only to allow you to manage your vendors. When a buyer goes to a vendor he/she sees only the items for that vendor.

When you manage from the Stock Room and sell from there the item goes on sale at whatever vendor it is sitting in not the vendor you are managing it from.

I think you are SUPPOSED to be able to retrieve from any of your vendors but I have had issues with that working properly.

This is my understanding of how it works and it seems to be the case. Anyone else have a different experience?
