Hi all,
I am a scout, and I want to place a vendor in my house in order to sell my bone and hides. I have just trained novice artisan, and I was wondering how you all trained up to business III.
Or if there was a way that you could have gotten business III faster. All I need is business, none of the other artisan skills.
I would appreciate any of your help or comments.

There are 4 steps:
Pick a useless junk item that nobody wants (i.e. anything you can make as a Novice Artisan.)
Get some ice for your wrist, you'll need it.
Grind and destroy with 2 parallel GCTs for a few hours.
Be glad you didn't have to go any farther than Bus III.

I really hate this method of grinding. I admit that it is nearly impossible to get up the Artisan tree without some grinding. But I tried to make things that people might buy. (Clothing mostly and later stuff from the Eng tree) I intentionally left Bus II and III for when I could make stuff to sell. I didn't sell it all but I did sell a fair amount of cothing and stuff to get to Master Artisan and to get up the Business tree to get Novice Merchant
To me it was good training to be a merchant. Finding how to make some stuff that people would buy from me.

Actually, the most efficient items (xp gained per resources used) are weapon power-ups.. 40 xp and only 10 resources. But for those you need 2 different resources. Survey tools are more xp but less efficient, 55 xp per 27 resources, but its all metal so you don't need to move.

If you have Engineering IV, and have good contacts (ie. Scouts and Surveyors), I found that making Bone Armour Chest pieces to be the best. I went up 3 levels in Business in under an hour since making one set gives you over 500 xp, plus all the XP you get from making Fiberplast Panels and Bone Segments (if you make those yourself). I know that seems like a lot, but if you're planning on being weaponsmith or armoursmith anyway, working on the Engineering skills first will let you get all the other Artisan skills way faster (from my experience anyway). I'm planning on being Master Artisan and Merchant, so I guess if anyone else is doing that that's my suggestion.

PS: To get up the Engineering Tree I made weapon powerups as suggested by Tad, and then did the other skills with the stuff you can make with that.
