yeah I noticed this also. It makes it really difficult to design the right colors and even worse no one wants to buy ugly looking blurry clothes.

Ever sense the patch where they broke the factories they put in new optimization code. Let me tell you, it SUCKS!!! Crafting clothes is a pain now, they all look like blobs of color with no definition. I found ways to work around that but then while examining stuff in my vendor I noticed how completely screwed I am. All my clothes are colored blobs in my vendor. Not to mention if the sleeves are a different color then just the chest of the shirt the whole shirt is the color of the sleeves. Ughhh...... Wow, I'm so glad I get .5 frames better so all my stuff looks like complete crap!!

There is a way to see them properly, but it's a bit of a nuisance to use.

Open up your options and look for a slider for Object Icons. (That may not be the name of it, I can't get into the game at the moment to check, but that's the functionality.) Crank it all the way up. ALL the icons you see should enlarge and resolve. All previews in the crafting preview window will also resolve to high quality.

The problem is that your inventoy isn't as useful when huge icons, so you end up dropping it back down.

To fix this problem for now, just walk directly up against a wall so that you can not see any objects on your screen but the wall. Then make sure you close your inventory window, and the objects should render correctly. Putting your crafting tool on the quick launch bar removes need to open inventory at all for crafting.

On a side note, I have a 2Ghz/512 DDR Ram/Radeon 9700 Pro system. I don't need any stinkin optimizations! I play with the sliders maxed, all the way, all the time. Shouldn't I at least have an option of whether I want the low-res models enabled???

The problem though is that sure I know how to work around it by going first person and staring at a wall, but how are my customers going to know that?

The other trick is to open your crafting station, turn the camera around you four times while in 3rd person, walk six paces straight ahead, stop, engage burst run, run to the left, then, while running, open your inventory using CTRL+I and hold the CTRL key. This should allow you to view items in full detail.

The point is I think it's sad we have to use 'tricks' in order to see the game the way it was intended. It should just be a performance setting, if you don't have a computer good enough to handle it, then tough to you (I know I don't have one good enough). But at least let those who do enjoy it at full detail.
