Thread: Suggestion: Desinitializing and picking up vendors!
It'd be great if we'd be able to desinitialize vendors and pick them up, incase we'd need to move them, e.g. when moving a house. Picking up doesn't work at all currently anyway, but once a vendor is initialized, I want to be able to deinit it to move it around or put it into my inventory. Maybe it can be bound to a fee just like harvester redeeding.
How does that sound? Especially with the inability to image design vendors and the sucky random generator during creation. I'd hate it to loose my current vendors on a move, after long time of create-deleting vendors...
I'd prefer it if they allowed Image Designers to adjust the vendors. There's probably a decent amount of work here, in that they have to confirm it with the owner, not the vendor (duh!), and such. Plus, if they did that, then I could have a female vendor who wan't bald! grrrr.
I spent 4 hours yesterday (no joke) with the random NPC generator trying to get a female vendor who's behind wasn't the size of a barn and/or wearing THE most garish color combinations imaginable.
It was grueling, I tell you. ID'ing vendors would be sooooooo incredibly cool. We can dress them, why can't we have someone come in and do something about the gawd awful shade of lipstick?
Agreed -- this would be helpful. (I actually had vendors falling through the second story floor of my home to places where I didn't want them; I had to remove them and cross my fingers that the replacement wouldn't be too unattractive to potential customers.)
Ihave tosay, though, that if it came down to a mutually exclusive choice, I'd much, muchrather have the developers work on letting us move items back from the the stockroom to the sales floor with one mouse click (i.e., no reentry of price or sales text). Thisis by far the most infuriating aspect of being a multi-vendor Merchant.
But yes, being able to de-initialize, move, and re-initialize vendors would be a Good Thing. ![]()
