Thread: Merchant Titles?
So do all four columns of the Merchant skill tree have titles when you reach the top?
I have Efficiency IV and I don't get a title. I heard Advertising IV gives you the option to be a Propagandist.
What do the others give you? And why don't I get Capitalist for having Efficiency IV? ![]()
Thanks,

If you hover your mouse over the Level 4 Skill Boxes in each profession it will show you what titles you get..
Advertising IV = Propagandist
Effeciency IV = Businessman(grr)
Hiring IV = Foreman
Management IV = Manager
Thanks!
Don't you also get Businessman from Business IV in Artisan (which leads to Merchant!)?
Efficiency IV should be Capitalist! ![]()

Hence the "grrr". Either someone screwed up, or they lost ALL their imagination at SOE.
*nod*
It's been suggested that the Artisan version should be "Salesman." Heck, they could even go with the neutered term"Sales Rep" and that'd be fine with me; just something other than a duplicate of the Merchant discipline title -- Merchant has already been sufficiently stripped of uniqueness.

Still you have to admit, Propogandist is the best title int he game. I wear it instead of my Master Architect title.
Totally agree -- I happily wander around with "Propagandist" above my head, just waiting for someone to ask me "What the heck is a Proper-- porpo-- what you are?"
The only title superior to this would have to be Korba "the Panegyrist" from Dune. I'd pay extra to have that one.

Personally, Manager was my first favorite as I would go into Cantina's and try to get performers to sign with my "label" and promising them bigger venues and more credits with me watching over thier careers....
Thank god PvP is GCW or consentual.....
Foreman was the next, as I would try to "Unionize" all of the artisans working the crafting stations in front of the starports....
Again I'm thankful for the PvP rules.
Yes, Business IV in Artisan should be called Salesman (or the gender-neutral Sales Rep...I've never been PC) but only if they remove the Vendor from Artisan and give them the Bazaar fee reductions instead...makes more sense that way...just my personal crusade.
"Mad" Vaylis Arturin, Master Merchant and Master Artisan...COMING SOON! Mad Vaylis' Used Speeders
Forman is also shared with the Architect prosession.
Construction IV in the Architect line is also a Forman ... GRRR
.
*strangling noises*... are you seriously telling me thatthere'snot justone but TWO discipline titles that Merchants have to share with other professions?!
*sigh*
You know, I'm still really having fun with this game. But I have to admit, having picked up all the Merchant skills I'm honestly feeling a little bit like a squatter. "Sure, it's worthless now, but hey -- one day they'll build a railroad nearby and my property values will skyrocket!"
Is it even imaginable that the Merchant skills will ever be transformed overnight into a complete profession worthy of following, repaying those of us who stuck out the lean years? Or are we doomed to a progression of occasional tweaks, followed by the eventualintroduction of an incredibly fun Industrialist profession which we will then have to schlepp through along with everybody else on the server?
(And don't even get me started on the subject of "what skills should I learn now to be ready to make maximum use of the Space Expansion skills as soon as they're released?")
