Thread: So I just learned about the 'stuff dissapears from stockroom' feature
I am a Chef, and I got plenty of space to store all my stuff. I thought the stockroom feature on the vendors was a wonderful convienient way to keep extra stuff easily ready for sale, I was not useing it as any kind of increased storage scam.
Then, over the course of a few weeks, stuff kept dissapearing..I thought it was me..where did I put that crate..what in the world did I do with that stack of tasty beans etc.....
Well, yesterday I found out that if you leave stuff in your stockroom too long, it is deleted with no warning and no message, its just gone. Are you kidding me? You get a mail everytime you remove something from sale...but the game doesnt feel the need to tell you its destroying your product?
I realize this is probly old news to most...but it was new to me and I am thoroughly disgusted.....what a feature....

I am a corporate merchant for my guild... 2 boxes from master, I might add... and I am also disgusted by this 'feature'. I just lost a ton of weapons from my weaponsmith's vendor because I didn't have the time to restock in the alotted window. (which is a mere 72 hours)
I was miffed, to say the least. I don't have enough time in each day to keep up with these things all the time - and I thought I was doing a consistent job! All of my time was devoted to stocking, pricing, dividing money, re registering vendors, etc.
And logically... how many people use this method for 'illegal' storage? Bus III is easy to get.. so yes, I could see using that as an exploitable stockroom... but who is going to get Novice Merchant + just so they can store their extra crap? And I am not talking about legitimate stockroom storage, like keeping items in there for when you sell out of them, to reduce to happening of any bugs in inventory.
I am a little tired of being penalized as a casual gamer and a merchant when I pay the same $15 a month as everyone else. Oh, hey.. anyone else notice that they addressed everyone recently except any artisan professions whatsoever? Oh wait... what am I thinking! They made formfitting clothes not show nude! That's... monumental for us all!
I have to agree..as I just posted in another thread...
I have just lost 2 Light Lightning cannons and a crate of stim C's
This is a pretty large loss financially for me although the weaponsmith is in my PA so he may split the cost with me....if this weren't the case and i was someone not selling Guild items. This could not only break me financially but hurt relationships with suppliers.

- There is nothing anywhere in game, in the instructions, in the help files, or anywhere else to let you know this can or did happen. I mean, we can't even surrender skills without typing "yes" but we can lose unlimited quanities of stuff by not logging in, and never know what happened.
- There is no way to check your vendor for what will expire soon. The time left doesn't show as a column on the main shop window, so you can't sort by it and say "hm, these five items are expiring tomorrow and I might not be able to log in. Might as well pull them and repost them now."
- The email you get that says "Auction Unsuccessful" doesn't tell you where the item was up for sale. You can find out if you go to a bazaar terminal, but if you have, say, two vendors in two separate cities, plus items in the bazaar in both cities, and you're not near a bazaar terminal when something expires, it can be a pain to figure out where to go next.
As far as I'm concerned, those are in order of importance. These fixes would really, really help.
