Thread: Vendor Administration

I (and a great many others) would LOVE to see a system in which vendors can be owned by the merchant, but managed by someone else. I know a great many players that are aggravated by having to get Business III in order to operate their own vendor. Some details

The Merchant owns the vendor, and the vendor counts towards his/her vendor limit. The Merchant may set a per sale fee, a time based fee, or simply charge a flat fee, or any combination of the three

The manager, designated by the owner, pays maintenence, places items in the vendor, and recieves money from items sold by said vendor.

These functions are seperated into two radial menus "Administrate Vendor" and "Manage Vendor."

Also, it would be nice if specific items could only be purchased by specific people. For instance, if I have worked a deal with a local hunter where he may buy a Large Mineral Mining Installation for 2000 credits, I should be able to place that item on my vendor without worrying about someone else snaking the sale.

Another also, make it possible to put a vendor in a private structure. I sell things to my fellow guild members for a significant discount, and do not want non-members to see the prices

This has been seen by the devs, they did not comment on it ever happening (Caned "We will look into it" type comment). I can not make it happen, but I did post it to the correspondant board some time ago.
