everyone suffers from the 110 items per vendor cap....but I'm sure a lot of people might agree that there should be some way to make sure you have merchant skills to use a vendor...I also think that most people realize that capping items per vendor won't do a thing except force people to put items in backpacks before listing an item for storage...I suggest the following as an alternative to everyone using vendors for storage, or using vendors with no merchant skills...
bus3: 100 item per vendor, and skill "list item" (allows you to see/use the "sell item" option...should be just a simply check in terms of programming)
novice merchant: +25 items per vendor
management1: +50 items per vendor
management2: +50 items per vendor
management3: +50 items per vendor
management4: +50 items per vendor
all other "4" skills: +25 items per vendor
master merchant: +25 items per vendor
so instead of 660 max items over 6 vendors...its 425 per vendor...for 2550 items total, still capped, but I think there would be a lot less people quitting over 425 per vendor than 110 per vendor...a lot less.
but since capping items won't do a thing to impare people who use vendors for storage space...the following other change should be made as a "trade off" for more items.
bus3: 50k price cap per item
novice merchant: 200k price cap per item
efficiency1: 400k price cap per item
efficiency2: 800k price cap per item
efficiency3: 1.6M price cap per item
efficiency4: 3.2M price cap per item
master merchant: 7M price cap per item
so no more "9999999999" or however many 9's there are priced items...people could still store things in bags...but theres still the risk that someone comes in...takes the chance, and buys the bag full of 50 +10 weapon speed attachments. or if the devs put in the view items in backpack while on vendor change...that risk is HUGE...as opposed to the zero chance there is now...which makes storing items on a vendor sooooo appealing.
master merchant retains a lot of value...and since 2 of the lines become important...and all of the 4th tier skill boxes also give extra items...just like the CH dabbling fix...master merchants have a big advantage over non-master merchants...while still allowing those that lack the skill points to function.
numbers can and should be changed...particularly the price cap numbers.
edited the message since the poster below reminded me that I should have put in that those price cap numbers were per item...not per vendor, or for all vendors...

I could go with the price cap was per items... so no items could be over 10mil lets say.
But if this was a per-vendor cap it would not work for chefs, Armorsmiths, loot, Resources,WS or other high end items.
I have over 500mil credits worth of merchandise on my resource vendor alone. If the limit was per vendor it would mean I could only stock say 100-200k units of good resources, or 30 stacks of mid to low lvl resoruces.

hmmm yeah should have stated that my price cap suggestion was per item...not vendor...
yeah...those numbers per vendor...that'd probably make even more people quit...
