Thread: Non merchant vendors needed to fixed but the nerf is unnecesary

Now before all the NON merchants get on here and flame me to a crisp. What SOE is doing is both a good thing, and a bad thing.


First of all the NERF the merchants are going to receive is crazy!! only 600 items total?? i see 500+ on vendors on any given day of the week. Now i think the numbers for merchants needs to be bumped up.


What SOE is doing that is a good thing is getting rid of all the non merchant vendors. If someone masters rifle and then drops it, they arent allowed to still use the specials and abilities of a master rifleman. And the same should go for merchant.


Now personally i think merchant should be tied in somehow to the crafting professions so that a players isnt forced into a non combat role by mastering both a crafting skill and having to also master merchant. That leaves them with no real points to do anything productive with.


I feel sorry for the real merchants because this nerf is really going to hurt them. But i will be happy to see all the non merchant vendors go away also.
