and let them know what it will mean when they go looking for guns, armor, meds, buffs,droids, clothing, ect...
1. They won't be able to find it because the people that do keep crafting won't be able to keep any kind of decent stock.
2. They won't be able to find goods because half the crafters have quit in disgust.
Please make SURE you inform your merchants and your server about his travesty in the making.

I've already renamed many of my buildings and changed some vendor barking.

Phew! I'm glad to see other merchants are concerned.
I understand that JTL is coming and they're trying to purge the database to make room for new characters.
I also really do think (ok..I hope..) that this is a lowball figure and they'll up the caps.
But with SOE, who can tell. It's sad, but I don't beleive the game developers actually have an understanding of the game.
That is, I don't think SOE developers understand how the things that they program will affect their players enjoyment of the game. This is disheartening because there are so many good points to the game and it has so much potential that has yet to be realized.
I would be happy with 700 items per vendor at master merchant. I know that vendor caps are coming. I pray the devs will be reasonable. As it stands, thier proposal will make the game unenjoyable and I doubt I'd play anymore.
I really do hope all other concerned merchants will use all tools at thier disposal to inform thier customer base about the proposed and severe limits. Let them know what this will mean for thier gameplay experience and encourage them to provide feedback for the DEVs to see/read.

My original character in this game was a Master Bounty Hunter and I was just an 'alt' character.
I realized that didn't really like combat but I absolutely love crafting and running my own business.
That original character is gone. Now I play 100% crafting characters and couldn't be happier.
...until this huge nerf hit me in the face.

That's pretty much how I got where I am too.
I absolutely love crafting and selling but if this nerf goes through, I'm done.

Yeah. I think a lot of us will be done, too.
That why we need to inform our customers so they can tell SOE they STRONGLY oppose the Merchant Nerf.....

I'm hoping all the people that have stores within sight of mine (in a very high traffic area) find out about it and spread the word too.
