Ok....was thinking about this and why this change is being considered. The only thing I can see (and correct me if you think I am wrong) is that the devs want more pure merchants in game. By this I mean Mechants would not need to be DE, MW orMA. Instead, this elite professions could drop merchant and sell "through" Master Merchants. The elite crafters would have to sell to the elites sellers. This would make room for either elite class to take up other professions...say Shipwright. Now this is just an idea so go easy........

Proof by bald assertion. Very impressive. What do you know of need. You don't need a vendor. Use the Bazaar. Those of us however that play the merchant class have found more than a little value in having more than a few items on a vendor at any one time. The question is not and never has been about "need" However to presume that you know that all merchants wanting 110 items on a vendor is for storage is the height of hubrus(sp?)
In part because of implimentation my Resource vendor needs many hundereds of items to handle the wide varity of quanities of each of the resources I carry. That alone is enough of a reason for more than 109 items.

Well the problem with this plan is that as a merchant I need space on my vendor to sell the items from an elite crafter. Assuming that variety is needed I would need lots of vendor space to handle each crafter professions products. With these limits that isn't going to happen so who would the elite crafter sell thru?
-Indene- (which reminds me 3 of my 6 vedors are being used as guides to people in our mall. I guess I better stick some very expensive but worthless stuff on them to prevent them from being eaten.)

People pease ignore posts from guys like kebron, if he says he really doesnt needmore then 110 items he is either not much of a crafter or just another troll.
Every real merchants knows that we need atleast 4 times as much storage room, atleastthat's what i will need in order to not destroy most of my salesware.

First would you trust all your stuff to a another player? Sure we all have a few players we trust but those i know arent merchant. And there have been allot of cases where players scam eachother already, i cant imagine how much worse that will be if players work together in order to sell their items.
And it would just suck, you dont know when you sell an item unless that merchant friend sends all that mail to you and you would have to hold all those items untill he comes online so you can give it to them so he can put it for sale for you. That isnt the idea what most people have in mind when they want to set up their own shop.
