Thread: the so called vendor nerf (a post in favor of the changes)

ok why is everyone whining? the vendor limit is EXACTLY what the merchant profession needed!! the only thing that ANYONE should be whining about is that master merchants are limited in the amt of vendors/items (as you have to get 3 more trees you should be rewarded with unlimited storage/vendor space)

Is a master doctor limited to the amount of people they can buff in a day?

Is a master fencer limited to the number of area attacks they can use on a kill?

Are you limited to the number of things you can harvest?

Are you limited to the number of things you can kill?


Why should we be the only profession limited?


Why master the profession at all, if we can't sell things?


Try being a crafter and limiting what you offer to only 110 items. It's not possible.


OH and, I never realized that our ability to offer our customers a variety of supplies and products was such an uber skill that needed to be hit with the nerf bat.

Why are people upset? Because we have gotten venders established, made other templates, and are now being slammed with this, ontop of a cap for products you can have on your venders.

As it stands, if you are Master AS and Master WS, you can't have venders too if this patch goes through. So you give up one. Now you have to constantly stock your venders because demand > supply.

The vednor limit is what every merchant has dreamed about however not to this extent. Instead of putting in these limits we wanted itso tht maybe the limits were 10 times what they are set at!!! IMO this is what it ought to be like...

Bussiness I, II, III, IV - Gives you various reductions on bazaar, no vendors
Novice Merchant - 2 Vendors 100 items in each
Managment I - 4 vendors 150 items each
Managment II - 6 vendors 250 items each
Managment III - 8 vendors 400 items each
Managment IV - 10 vendors 600 items each
Master Merchant - 12 vendors 1000 items each

This means anyone wanting to do serious trade must be a merchant but not necessarilly a master merchant. Really the additional vendor tree needs relacing with something more interesting...

That sounds good, along with a revamp of the other branches and make things actually work.

I think that's exactly what we're 'whining' about.. think of the best tailors/armorsmiths/weaponsmiths/droidsmiths you know. How many items are on their vendors? A hell of a lot more than 660 I bet.
