Think about it.

You pay a years' worth of maintenance on your vendor because you don't want it to *poof* and cost you a bunch of valuable items, great. That's something like 90k?

You get 50-110 items on your vendor. Then you sell out before you can restock. What do you have?

An empty vendor.

Then the server resets and you have an empty vendor...

*BAM*

90k gone from the economy.
