Thread: Issue with Merchant Barker Droid

I know a lot of threads have been posted up about auto-restore and how pathetic the thing is but has the issue been fixed. I read that the problem only occurs randomly and that some of the people had better luck with R2 and mouse barker. Has anyone been successfully set up barker droid and leave the planet without it auto-restoring into your datapad? If so, what did you do to make it happen?

I've run Power Droids, 3PO's, R5's, and R2's as barkers and never had them autostore on me. Do note, that if you hop on your own starship (or even just use the "travel" option on it) then your droid will store... you'll need to take public transportation.

Ah, damn, that sucks. Let's hope the next patch will fix that.

Actually I believe they auto-store even if you take a public shuttle to a city on the same planet. I don't know if this is a new nerf or simply a bug but it happened to me. If this is indeed happening, it is a major nerf to barking droids. It basically renders them useless.

I can leave my barker out for 12 hours with no auto store, hoping shuttles and everything. You can try "/tellpet stay" when you place it and see if that helps.

I have no problem with the barker droid staying when I hop on the shuttle but if I use my spaceship, it auto-restores. They seriously need to fix that.
