Thread: Slight bit of help needed here...

I have been a master merchant for some time now. I have decided to change my template. I have read numerous posts trying to find out the number of items I can have on my (2) vendors once I surrender merchant (keeping Artisan Business IV). I have read that my vendors can hold everywhere from 150 items to 300 items. I have read the FAQ and stickies at the top of the merchant and artisan profession but there again, they point to conflicting data. I have even used the nifty search feature, there again, conflicting information. I would like a definitive answer. I will be able to place 2 vendors with Business IV. How many (cumulative items between BOTH vendors) can I put up for sale? Looking for one total here please, not per vendor.

Business IV: This is the final stage of Artisan before moving on to Novice Merchant. It takes 6000 XP to achieve and that will equate to about 106 of the dreaded (by now) survey tools. This will grant you your second type of vendor. You will also receive an additional vendor slot (giving you two total) and an additional 150 items. This brings your total item limit to 250. The 250 items can be set up on your vendors in whatever way you choose. If you want all 250 items on one vendor that is possible, if you want to split up the items on both vendors that works as well.

Thank you. I did read this but was unsure as several posts referenced 200 items total. Thank you so much for clearing this up. I was wondering how I could sell food limited to 200 items. 250 isn't much better but it *is* better.

The confusion might stem from the fact that there were about 5 different proposals before the numbers stablized at what they currently are set at.

Also fwiw 6 more skill points gets you a 3rd vendor and 500 additional items.

Yes, but unfortunately trying to be master chef / master doc only leaves me 4 skill points, 2 short of the 6. Trust me, I cried when I totalled them up.
