Thread: Do you think SWG has failed us?
SWG has the potential to be a great game. There is a lot about it that I like.
But it is so clear to me that the developers spent 2 years designing combat for the game, and almost no time designing the other features of the game.
Our merchant profession is one huge pile of crap. Most of our kills are broken, and those that are not broken are almost useless. This game has so much potential for the non combat players, but I think the developers fell very short of their original goals.
Do you feel like SWG failed us? I never thought I would say this, but do you think canceling our accounts would give them a wake up call? I doubt it, but we have got to do something to get them to fix our profession. Most of these problems have been around sense beta, and the deves still do not know abotu them.
The funny part about this is that the combat types think the same thing about crafting and economics.
And the only message that ever gets through is a cancellation message.
no...SOE does not care if you CANCEL....they make all their money off the original CD sales...so subs are just gravy...mabe when the game is a year old they will care about subs...
Some of you might not know but Merchant was thrown together the last couple of weeks of BETA...it is basically unfinshed and they are just now turning on "placeholder" skills...
I wouldnt say SWG failed us...i would say Koster failed SWG....i look forward to the new Lead designer and the changes he might make to bring this game into the 21st century instead of just repackaging a decade old game in a SW skin....
Koster needs to be put out to pasture....
