Merchant Archive

I looked through the merchant forum a little and didn't see any info about this so I'm not too hopefull, but is it possible to rename old vendors? Or to pick em up? I've got a clothing vendor with litterally hundreds and hundreds of items I'd like named something else and I really don't want to have to create a new vendor and switch over.

And I can see with time getting attached to a vendor and not wanting to lose it. So when I pack up and move shop (we all do sooner or later) is there a way to pack up my vendors and take them with me? I feel bad when I delete pets, and I know I don't want to delete an older vendor I've had for quite a while.

ug, just saw the faq (i know, should check the stickies first), so it's a no go on rename. which probably means it's a nogo on picking em up once place. Man that sucks, I wanna save my poor vendor.
