Okay. Well I got my holocron last night and it wants me to take up something that (surprise, surprise) I have no interest in doing.

That said, I need to surrender some skills.

I am curious what happens to my vendors I have up now if I surrender ALL of Merchant (including Novice). Granted they can't be advertised globally, but anything else? Will they still exist and be useable?

I'm also curious as to why might happen to them if I dropped the entire line of Business on Artisan also. Would they then disappear after a server reboot? Does anyone know?

Have to decide what to surrender and when. Help a guy out and let me know how surrendering merchant will effect my existing vendors...Cheers!

i would like to get some hard data on dropping skills...

for instance, i would like to drop the corportae image line...but i have NPC vendors that uise the level 3 box....do they poof if i drop those skills?

I trained up the hiring line, dressed my vendors in snazzy duds, then dropped hiring and they're still dressed, so that part stays at least.

All you need is Artisan Business 3 to get your first vendor, therefore you have the ability to manage a vendor without being a merchant. I have heard that vendors do not disappear when you surrender your skills, but I haven't tried it. If that is true though, you should be okay.

I wonder if we will ever get our point across that IF this works it is not fair to those of us who are not giving up our skill points? Do other professions get asked how people can continue to use their skill perks without keeping the skills? Are there threads in the CH forum asking how to call level 25 pets once you have given up the CH Novice skill? I don't know. Probably not as many.
