I'd swear you used to be able to see the listings of merchant vendors when browsing the bazaar, butI couldn't figure out how to do it yesterday. Is there a way to do that?

If not, then there needs to be. I have a ton of merchandise on my vendors, and if someone is just browsing the bazaar to find what they need, they have no way of knowing that only 500m away there's a store with lots more products at better prices.

The items on a Merchant vendor don't appear on the bazaar. I used to think that they should. I am use to the fact that they don't. There are plenty of ways to generate traffic to your shop. The bazaar is an effective way to do that, by using it to sell lower level items and using the buyers as leads to get people in your store. Ad barking in a busy area (be considerate and limit the barks to once every 5min or so and don't do it for 10 hours straight ) I am sure there are other ideas. Once you have Advertising III (assuming you are going that far) use the global map, it works. I am sure there are other ideas to generate traffic.

I agree.. I've been a master merchant for a month or two, and I've used the bazaar with email followups, and planetary ad, and ya it works. But I've alwasy thought the items should be shoppable from the bazaar.

Actually... isnt' that one of the reasons that we were disallowed from having vendors in private structures? It was considered griefable because players could somehow buy items off of your vendor and then be locked out of the structure?

How could that be the case? What am I missing?

There are various explanations for that change but I think the most compelling and the truest was that people were using them for private storage when they were never ment to be used like that.

There were all sorts of peoblems with items being listed on the bazaar and then having to go get them. Private homes. Locked homes was one. Vendors being deleted was another.
