Hey all,


I have a master weaponcrafter / near master merchant alt (just need a bit more apprentice xp) , and have run into a few issues with the planetary map.

1.) (I know this is a widely known issue) Having to reset the vendors every morning, unless I want no business that day.

2.) My alt's listing on the planetary map seems to slide down the list as the day goes on.

Usually I'm 5th or 6th on the list first thing in the morning, but by primetime I'm 3rd or 4th from the bottom. It's not alphabetical order as I see T's before S's and such.

The first one can be worked around, but any ideas on the second issue?

I plan to be digging through the posts to see what up and coming nerfs/fixes are in store for merchants.

I also noticed my vendor dropping in the list during the day. It seems vendors that are added to the map appear at the top. Don't know of any way to influence this.

But this is not my biggest concern ...yesterday I was unable to add my vendors to the map anyway. I removed them after server reboot (as always) and put hem back on. I accidentaly took the wrong category, so I removed it again, but was unable to add it afterwards

Yeah.. how do you see the list? I never knew it existed..

Planetary Map (Ctrl+V) To the right is a list of mapped sites on that planet; cities, cloning facilities, banks, etc. Double clicking on the yellow folder opens the sublist showing each site within that category. Near the bottom of the list is the Vendor folder. Double click that. Junk Vendor is there as well as most of the categories you would see on the bazaar or your vendor. Weapons, clothing, Equipment, etc. Double click any of those folders and it will show you a listing of any Merchant vendors registered on the planetary map. The list changes over the day as more merchants get registered. Right after server reset, it is blank, or will have only one or two. By evening time most categories are quite long. And these lists vary by day and time of day. Heh, quite like the market.

Also note: Cantinas and med centers with a half moon symbol means they are "manned" and open for business (by a entertainer or medic with high enough skill to access the planetary map registration terminal.)

Also had this experience. You need to wait an hour or two and then it somehow "resets" and you're able to register the vendor again.

Mine falls off the map constantly. Sigh.

Eboh, everyone falls off the map daily (about 7 a.m. Pacific time). If you're falling off other times, that's a bug.

They changed the listing order with the last patch, but I'm not sure just how they changed it. I'm always third on the list now, even if there are 6-7 registered when I get up in the morning. (Ok, actually, I forgot to register this morning, and just did... and now I'm at the top of the list. But the two that are usually ahead of me aren't registered right now.)

I've thought that it could be:

- Number of items in stock
- Age of vendor
- Age of house

Or maybe something else. But I'm not sure what it is that I'm the top of for Naboo Tailors right now.

I don't think it's number of items, mine is always listed at the top every time I look even when it's only got like ten items on. It's probably not merchant skills since I only have adv 4 and mgmt 1. Vendor and house are both months old so it might be one of those.

One of my vendors is only a month old, if I remember later I'll list that one and see where it shows up.

Maybe it's determined by location.
