Thread: Item description
PLEASE make CUT and PASTE options that work in the item description!
It's SO silly that I have to retype EVERYTHING every time I put something up for sale, and on multiple yet identical items.
Come on. The options are in the game for Chat, and the same works for mail.
Why wasn't it included in ALL text fields.
This should be one class that inherits all properties and works in all instances (sorry, programming).
What doesn't work, is you can't copy text *in game* that isn't editable; i.e. you can copy text from the description while you're entering it, but not after you've posted the item for sale.
What I do is, I have a text file with all my various blurbs, ads, and tags in it, and I copy those to the clipboard out of game and paste them where ever I want to in game. Works like a charm.
OK, I was entering a desc and tried to move a line in the same text box, and it didn't seem to work in that instance.
It does work in mail. Which I guess was my point.
If entering text in mail and I can cut and paste in the mail text box, it should work the same in all text boxes.
I'm glad that at least I can cut and paste from outside the game. I'll have to start making copies of all my item descriptions - ugh. It's a start.
Seems kind of counter-intuative if you have to go outside the game to type text
but i'm used to it for using the calculator, and time and date. That's ONE thing I'm going to put in any game I ever design - the freakin time and date.
Tnx for your help.

Turn on time stamping in your chat box, then you have the time and date (and you know how old that tell is when you get back from AFK).
Haha, good one.

To copy and paste text in the game type it in an eMail and send it to urself. when u need the text reply to the eMail and from there u can copy it.
Hahaha, that's better than the last one. Tnx for the work around.
But truth be told, it's broke, and they need to fix it.
