Place a vendor. Then place more vendors when you can. If you want to know more details, read back on the forum.

Read the guide. It is why we made it. I even add a section for the Holocron crowd.

I got it too and was making XP every hour until tonight. I am 0/2/0/4 (got my vendors first). But now I get NO XP just for having the vendors up. I have 6 up and 2 hours have gone by and NO XP. Any help with this would be appreciated. Im at 12000 and need 30000 to make 0/3/0/4.

Experience comes in lumps, and often doesn't show till after the server reset.

You guys are lucky. You can basically log out of the game for a week and come back with master.
I'm switching to my musician until I hit master (though, asstated in another thread, I'm a merchant anyways. Just not a very good one.)

Lucky? This isn't lucky at all.
Once you qualify, we'll assume you take the optimal plan.
So first we do the 4th line with 2 vendors.
10,000 xp / 300 xp / hr = 33.3 hours
Now we have the next skill with 3 vendors.
20,000 xp / 450 xp / hr = 44.4 hours
Now the third with 4 vendors
30,000 xp / 600 xp / hour = 50 hours
Now the fourth with 5 vendors
40,000 xp / 750 xp / hour = 53.3 hours
Now we do the rest with our 6 vendors...
300,000 xp / 900 xp / hour = 333.3 hours
Add them up and we get the total time needed...
514.3 hours
514.3 / 24 = 21.4 days.
21.4 fricken days! We can speed it up a little, but not much without some major help.
I'd rather do anything else, muscician, medic, pistoleer, squad leader, anything!
At least those skills I can grind away and finish in 1-10 days no problem.
With merchant I'm looking at around 3 weeks of waiting to finish it up... and that's assuming that the bugged vendors even grant xp, which they seem to forget to do a lot of times.

Add to that the very buggy nature of the experience earned. For example two vendors placed and intialised ran for 24hours after freshly placing them - total experience shown as earned 800.
