I mean, I mastered Merchant, so that I could own and run my own Cantina complete with bartender, waitress, spice dealer, etc... And now I can't even do that, because I have to get someone else to set up the Cantina for me. I can't even take advantage of the reduced maintenance fees. That just seems kinda cruddy to me. Anyway...*Sigh*

I'm in the same boat. I wanted to run a cantina too, but none of the houses are really suited to do it in. The actual cantina building itself, can only be a part of a player city. And even if you built (as an architect)it, you have to give it to a politician (or mayor) to place it. In any case, I'll bet that you (yourself) don't run it...it's the city that does.

I solved mine by building a small house, and doing what Icould with it. It's not a REAL cantina, but it gets the job done (I'm putting up a 2nd location on Tatooine today!).

Good luck!

Check the new manual. It's a commercial structure, you have to place it in a Player City, but it is yours to place. However a Master Chef, Master Dancer, or Master Musician has to place it. It does stay if the Player City goes belly up though.

Dude. Totally agree. The entire reason I wanted merchant was so I could run my own cantina. Well, I needed to get a deal with a Chef anyway, now it's gonna have to be a master. Rats.

I'm a Master Merchant, guess I had kind of the same goal as you. Also a Master Chef......I say reduce the number of lots used to 4 and not 6. This thing isn't as big as a Large House, it isn't small but it isn't the biggest player structure either. Goodluck if you do decide to go efter being able to place a Cantina.
