Thread: Auction limit is still 7 days if you don't do it right!

This is just a note to let all you merchants know about auctions. I read it somewhere yesterday, but I wanted to post it anyway, and keep it fresh at the top of the list. I tryed this out, and it is bugged.

When you sell an item from your personal inventory, it will be placed up for auction for 30 days. If, however, you sell an item from your stockroom, it will be placed up for auction for only 7 days. So, that means that now, every 30 days, you will have to clear your vendor, and resell everything from your inventory. Some fix...huh.

Just withdraw items in a batch and relist.

Or if you have been thinking of reorganizing... Now is the time to do it. :-)

(Boy hundreds of items to relist.)

I want to know what this "feature" is supposed to be for? We already have to pay maintenance on the building AND the vendor, (which is now as much as small harvesters!) AND log in every week just to re-list the items? This so so stupid it boggles the mind.

I lost two months work because of this little feature. Although I still thought the expiration from the sell list was stupid, I delt with it. But that fact that items decay from your stockroom in 7 days? OMG, why they hell do they call it a STOCKROOM! It should be called a dumpster.

Basically, they make us pay a ton of money to sell stuff, AND require us to log in at regular intervals just to do busy work; something that wastes their precious bandwidth and our time. I guess, if your not a hardcore gamer, you shouldn't be playing. Are you going to give us casual games a break on the monthly fee? Right, didn't think so.

Comon' guys, start thinking about what your actually trying to do. Save DB space? It doesn't matter if we are playing the game, because we stillhave to log in at regular intervals to pay maintenance anyways; on TWO objects. Does a THIRD measure to make things decay really clean the DB up that much, or are you just trying to enforce your will?

I still want my stuff back, since this was completely un-documented when it happened to me. Oh yea, I like how your respond to bug reports too. YOU DON'T! How pitiful. But I guess I should expect anything more from SOE customer service.

Yes, I'm mad. I'm incredibly mad that I paid about $200 to play the game, just to have everything I owned taken from me. Does that sound like fun to you?

I thought this 30 day thing would make me immensely happy. *sigh* I suppose I should be glad for small favors.

But...I've got over 1200 items to pull and reprice...and we KNOW the pricing isn't going to be persistent.

Haha but you can withdraw everything in one shot as the person above said. You can select everything in your storeroom all at once and click withdraw one time and yer done. These changes are long overdue and they make being a merchant much less stressful. Stop looking for ways to stress yourself out.
