I have had a severe problem with merchant xp since this last patch. It seem that the only times i can earn it is whenI am in my home and not afk. The 150 xp per hour per vendor rate does not seem to be in effect at all, and the other xp bonuses seem to be random when i am in fact in my house.

I currently have 4 npc vendors running, wondering ifI should trade them around for different types. I tried replacing them all after the patch (npc for npc type), but this didn't seem to help at all. ShouldI try to replace the vendors with droids or terminals?

This is very frustrating to me as I would like to work on other professions as merchant xp increases, but as soon asI leave my houseI knowI won't be getting any xp. If there are any known workarounds to this problem I would like to hear them. Merchant xp was buggy in the past, but this is ridiculous. I should be earning 600 xp per hour without any customers walking through the door, but as it stands I have earned a total of 3k xp since the patch. I didn't sign up forSWG to be stuck in my house, I started playing so I could see the galaxy, kill, craft, and have fun w/ my friends.

the problem is you need lots of merchant xp to make merchant xp... how can i advertise my shop if i have to be near the vendors to collect the xp? thats the only way i have earned it so far since the patch. i know others who have earned it away from their vendors, others who havent gotten any at all... its very frustrating.

I'd thought merchant xp was excrutiatingly slow before the patch, now it's way worse. I'm finding this class to be very frustrating for me.

I've always found merchant xp to be insanely fast to be honest. I'll have used up all my merchant xp and then before I know it I'm capped again. Seeing a slowdown in merchant xp wouldn't be a bad thing in my books.

Sounds like Merchant XP is now earned only when your vendors are actually *used*, not just for them standing there. Means that it's a bit harder to earn. Heck, I've barely kept my Merchant XP earn level ahead of my Tailoring XP earn level since the patch... it's almost like I have to work for it, or something.

If this keeps up, the title "Master Merchant" might mean something other than just that you're good at placing a vendor and forgetting about it... yeah, they better fix it *fast.*
